OUR AMERICA
our america speaks to me so much, because alot of people in the hood can be came doctors, lawyers, nurses, and etc, but they think dreams are just dreams, nothing is possible in the hood. i totally agree with the teacher in the book, she believes in all her children. i like her because as bad as the hood is, she decided to stay there and still work with the kids. i think one of the reason why the children think so low of themselves is because alot of people give up on the childeren

yeah i agree with you. children need people to stay on them!!! they need the discipline that people give them. if nobody cares for them why should they care for themselves. i know thats not how its supposed to be but they dont know any better. we need to stay on our children and give them people to look up to. thats what we here for!!
im still a chld myself.LOL
yea that is a perfect example of why some of them end u as alcoholics, drug addicts, dead, in gangs or in jail!!! They have no positive influences to look up to!!!

Yeah u right but we don't have nobody from the hood who are doctors lawers and nurses who go back to where they came from to help or better the community.
