Welcome to Bridge from me, too

Hello, members of Bridge, Section 7. I'm Nancy, and as Joe said in his post, we'll be co-teaching your English Studies class. We're looking forward to the next four weeks, and I'm especially excited to hear what you have to say -- in your discussions, writing, and art. The Bridge program has also lined up a slate of lectures that I'm looking forward to; those speakers and their topics should give us even more ideas to discuss and write about. It's going to be intense, but it's going to be fun, as long as we all stay focused and on the same page.

Finally, I can't credit Joe enough for his enthusiasm, great ideas, and experience: look at him as a role model! Not only has he recently completed his own experience as a Columbia College Chicago student, but he continues to forge ahead with such endeavors as co-teaching Bridge for the second year, tutoring in writing centers for several years, working on his own writing, and setting up giveawaytheending.com (which you'll want to check out) as well as this awesome blog. He is enthusiastic about helping you to see yourselves not only as college students, but also as artists. You will be spending a lot of time with Joe, not only during classes and lectures, but while going to museums, in the salons, and in the time he sets aside to help you as needed.

So. . . here comes Monday, and here comes Bridge!
