Photobucket

So I went to the post office and decided to take picture with my cell phone. I think this picture is way better than anything Kyles stupid iphone could do. haha

But then I decided to look at my old photobucket from when I did graphic designs in high school to pass time while listening to some lame lecture. Tell me what you guys think.

So I layered two pictures and cut out the can on the top layer and colored the picture black and white. You can see the lighting of the room all tan by looking at the can.
This one, I think I layered it and cut out the bottle then took a picture of an Iron Giant happy meal toy and cut that out and placed it in this picture. Also done on a simply "paint" program that comes with the computer.
This picture I was really proud of until I noticed that on the left I am faded. I placed my camera on my back porch and put it on timer. I took 6 pictures and layered is 6 times. Then I cut myself out 5 times. So I really was standing and sitting in all those places. Also done in the basic paint program.

This is a picture that a friend took. I really like how the rose looked and how the camera kind of messed up and you see a sort of blotted pixelation. So naturally I cut out the rose and painted the rest black and white. But I used a more advanced program so I could increase the color in this and really bring out the yellow color.
This is a picture at my highschool where I kind of fiddled around with photoshop until I came to a sci fi look. It kind of looks like a 3D movie after you take off your glasses to me. I layered this picture about 17 times and it took 3 hours to do. But I loved it. Looks alot better in full size.
This is a picture I took of my best friend and worked with it in a photo processor. I flipped it to the side and changed the color to red and increased the contrast and added a wind effect about 80% until I came up with this. I like it because it fits one of his bands songs about the end of the world and fire comes crashing down. It sort of looks like fire crashing down.
This is the markethouse downtown in my city. I wanted it to look like someone drew it on a brown paper with pastels. I entered this into a dogwood fest we have.

This last one is just about my absolute loath with all things red robin. I've had some pretty bad jobs in my life but this was the absolute worst job ever. The only reason is because the managers are absolute garbage. So I made this into a tshirt that I will be wearing when I visit during christmas...
I kept the job for a year because where I am from, there's soooo many people my age looking for a job and you have to fight for any job you can get. Thats why I've had some pretty odd jobs... carpenter assistant, janitor, mover, bussboy, delivery driver, and cook all while still in high school.

I hope you guys liked these, I have some art work from my sister I might post tomorrow. She was a graphic design major but switched to photography in NJ.

Pittsburgh

A few months ago i got to go on a trip and be away from home for a week without my family.
Me and a buddy of mine took a road trip over to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to participate in a music video. It just so happens my friend who i took the trip with was a good friend with the director of the video. We got to drive down the cinematographer who was also from Chicago.
It was the first time i've ever been that far east of the country. Pittsburgh was soo much different then what im used to in the midwest. Everything is elevated and on hills and cliffs as opposed to what i grew up with my whole life.. Flat lands and corn fields. It was a really nice city. And working on the music video was pretty sweet to. I had the roll in the SWAT team. Although i never heard of this east coast band it was definetly an awesome experience for me, especially since im interested in film and video. If you ever get the chance to visit Pittsburgh you should definetly go. Especially if your able to go to bars.. tons of them

New Mexico and the Ruins of Tsankawi.

About two years ago my father and i travelled to New Mexico to visit an uncle in Taos just outside Albuquerque. During our trip we travelled down the highway to the indian ruins of tsankawi. anciet peoples of the New Mexican plain carved massive homes into the sides of mesas and plateau's. This may sound like a not so amazing feat, but its how they did this. the indian's used light pressure with rough rocks over a long period of time, rubbing at the stone not chiseling. they would start build domicile's for generations of children that they would not necessarily see in there lifetime. they carved images in the rocks that were spiritual and had a deep meaning and to desecrate these carvings is believed by the local tribes to be a cardinal sin. the most amazing thing was this narrow foot path that had been worn into the rock. just imagine a stair way 7 inches wide and a foot and half deep. as i said before they didnt do such things with chisel and hammer. they used pressure and time to make these strutures and path's. it was truly amazing and gave me a feeling of connection to a civilization that existed 100's of years ago.

One of my adventures that I thought was the best was when I went on my first Church retreat. I was about 15 years old and I thought this would be the most boring weekend ever. the guys I roomed with went ot my church and I knew of them but we didn't talk much. The good thing about them was that they were the "playas" of our church. So after a long three hour ride we finally got to the Marriot in Springfield. The hotel was huge. I had never been in a hotel that big. THE BEST THING though is, it was full of the SEXIEST little church girls you ever seen in your life.
Me and my roommates didn't waste no time. We got our room keys, put on some fresh cloths and hit the lobby. An hour later, we three of the sexiest females in the whole place. We spent the next two days with them.
Take my word, Church girls are the biggest FREAKS.
