It think it is so important to get to know your instructors because there needs to be a level of communication and understanding between you guys. You should be able to ask them things when you need to. They are also going to be the ones as (as well as yourself)who determine if you pass or not..
So it's always good to know your professors

I'm glad that we have that new teacher student program. I really believe that getting to know your professors a little better could help you out in the long run.
I'm not sure how they got their statistics on "you're most likely to graduate here if you get to know a teacher" but I don't doubt that it's true. When I picked up a school paper, there was a note from the editor in chief and she did happen to mention the support of a teacher. So that deff works out.
I am glad we have instructors who are interested in our futures.
